Gauges are divided into smooth cylindrical limit gauges, cone gauges, position gauges, special gauges (thread gauges, shaft gauges, hole gauges, key and spline gauges) according to the tested object.
Gauges are divided into three categories based on their purpose:
(1) Work gauge
A gauge used by production workers for inspection during the manufacturing process of parts. Work gauges include a pass gauge (represented by the code "T") and a stop gauge (represented by the code "Z"). The size of the pass gauge is equal to the physical size MMS (or in) of the inspected part, and the size of the stop gauge is equal to the minimum physical size LMS (or) of the inspected part
(2) Acceptance gauge
The gauge used by the inspection department or user representative during product acceptance. Acceptance gauges also have go and no go gauges.
(1) Proofreading gauge
Gauges used for inspection work and acceptance gauges.
The calibration gauge of the inspection axis measuring gauge is called the "calibration" - "pass" gauge, represented by the code "TT". The calibration gauge block of the inspection axis measuring gauge is called the "calibration" stop "-" through "gauge, and is represented by the code" ZT ". The calibration gauge used to verify the wear limit of the shaft gauge is called the "calibration loss" gauge, denoted by the code "TS".
