How to detect the machining process of thread ring gauge

In the production process of thread ring gauges, online detection is a difficult point in ring gauge processing. Generally, thread ring gauge manufacturers mainly process thread turning, tap tapping, and grinding with a grinder. For the machining of large diameter thread ring gauges, the increase in rotational torque makes grinding difficult. Therefore, for thread ring gauges with a diameter greater than 100mm, the process of grinding threads is adopted.
In the internal thread grinding process, it is difficult to control the feed size due to the lack of accurate thread pitch diameter measurement tools for online detection. At present, the machining process is measured using a calibrated thread plug gauge, but the large-sized thread calibration gauge is large in size and heavy in weight, making the detection operation difficult. Due to the fact that thread plug gauges can only be used for qualitative measurement and cannot achieve quantitative measurement, it is difficult to grasp the feed size when grinding internal threads, resulting in high scrap rates and low efficiency. By introducing online comparative measurement and comprehensive measurement methods in the processing, the online quantitative detection of the pitch diameter of the thread ring gauge has greatly improved the accuracy, product qualification rate, and production efficiency of the ring gauge processing.
